The school was started in June 1949 with just about 11 children and two teachers. Mrs. Mani was the first teacher. Though she passed away in 1951, she had already set the standard and the goal for the school to follow in the years to come.
The goal of the school was not only to impart basic education but to really inculcate in Children a sense of moral and spiritual values which was fast declining. The aim was to ensure that by the time the child completed five years of study at the Mani’s School, she or he would be adequately groomed to become a worthy citizen of this great country.
